Is it okay for 16 year olds to have sex?

a mother just found out that her 16 year old daughter has been having sex with her boyfriend. the girl and her boyfriend have been dating for 4(almost five) years, and are totally committed to each other. the just started having sex this year, using protection every time. they were both virgins, and since then they have never been with any one else.....what should this mother do?

I think this is perfectly fine, as long as you put her on birth controll.
